Open Chair Waiting for You

"Open Chair Waiting for You" was commissioned by Kim Collier for her dear friend Susan Ranew. I loved doing this painting! It is my hope that this image will transport the viewer to this inviting spot on the beach and that the two chairs will cause them also to imagine their beloved - the one who fills their heart with joy and laughter - sitting next to them enjoying the moments together. I had the honor of being there when Kim surprised Susan with this painting. Susan said that if she could choose she would entitle this piece "Making Memories." I was touched by the loving friendship between these two ladies. I have a feeling that is exactly what these two have been doing since junior high and will continue to do: make memories. 11" X 14" Acrylic on Stretched Canvas.
